La Lumiere is a boarding and day prep school for grades 9-12, located an hour outside of Chicago in La Porte, Indiana. Our close-knit community is a rich mosaic of exceptional students, all with the common goal of becoming the best version of themselves. At La Lumiere, we meet our students exactly where they are in order to provide them with the specific tools and opportunities they need to grow as individuals.

Charles Mugford
Director of Admissions

Charlie joined La Lumiere School as the Director of Admissions in June 2020. From 2012 to 2014, Charlie served as the Director of Enrollment Management at La Lumiere. During this time, Charlie led the Admissions Office and focused on developing enrollment, developed marketing and outreach plans, and oversaw the admissions events.

2020欧洲杯APP In previous roles prior to his return to La Lumiere, Charlie served as a Director of Enrollment Management, an Admissions and Marketing consultant, and a history teacher at two independent schools. During these experiences, he focused on crafting messaging for the schools, implemented methods to increase enrollment, and developed marketing strategies for the schools.

Mary Pickens Corsones
Assistant Director of Admissions

Mary joined La Lumiere School as the Assistant Director of Admissions in May 2019. In her previous role, Mary served as the Associate Program Director for the Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Teaching Fellows program at the University of Notre Dame. There, she managed the recruitment, selection, placement, and formation of Catholic School teachers in the Gulf Coast and Mid-Atlantic.

Prior to her time working at the University of Notre Dame, Mary began her career as a 5th grade teacher and ACE Teaching Fellow at St. Joseph School in Petersburg, Virginia. While at St. Joseph, she was also responsible for the school’s communication efforts, led the choir, and served as a member on the Catholic School Management Committee.

2020欧洲杯APP Mary grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where she attended Marian High School. She earned a B.A. in Communication from Michigan State University, and her M.Ed. from the University of Notre Dame.
